Theological Focus

The Second Sunday in Lent deepens our journey toward the cross. It is a time for sobering reflection on what it means to follow Jesus when the path leads through suffering and self-denial. The season calls us to move beyond superficial faith into a transformative commitment to the way of Christ.

Scriptural Connection

In Mark 8, Jesus clarifies the nature of his messiahship and the requirements for his followers.
