Lectionary Meaning

Theological Focus

As Lent nears its conclusion, the liturgy shifts toward the promise of renewal and the hope of the Resurrection. This Sunday emphasizes the internal transformation required to live in a true, life-giving relationship with the Divine, moving beyond mere outward observance.

Scriptural Connection

Jeremiah 31 speaks of a new covenant written on the heart rather than on stone. This promise offers hope that our past failures do not have the final word; God is doing a new thing within us, restoring our brokenness through a grace that is both personal and communal.
