Theological Focus

Early in the Epiphany season, we celebrate the diverse ways the Holy Spirit manifests the life of Christ within the gathered community. This is a time to recognize that the light of Christ is not a monolithic beam but a prism of varied graces. The theological focus rests on the intentionality of God in distributing unique capacities to every member of the faithful.

The reading from 1 Corinthians 12 introduces the concept of spiritual gifts given for the common good.
