Theological Focus

The Feast of the Epiphany celebrates the 'shining forth' of Christ to the nations, marking the revelation of Jesus’ divinity to the wider world. It is a season of light that breaks through the darkness of human history, signaling that the salvation promised to Israel is a gift intended for all people, regardless of their origin or status.

Scriptural Connection

Matthew 2 recounts the journey of the Magi, whose persistence in following the star leads them to the humble house in Bethlehem. Their gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh acknowledge Jesus as King, God, and the one destined for sacrifice.
